APH Epson Printer Install with Photoshop Profiles
The Appleton Mac labs 123 and 125 utilize 2 Epson printers. The students use them to print projects from photoshop on photo quality paper. Photoshop has printer profiles for the Epson printer based on the paper type. Here are instructions for getting the profiles back if they disappear as well as how to configure the printer on a brand new iMac:
If the Epson has been added to the iMac before and the profiles are now missing:
- Open settings and scroll to Printers and Scanners
- Add Printer by IP (top globe icon)
- Enter IP address (10.2.220.63)
- Rename to Epson 1 or 2
- Driver should automatically select EPSON SC-P800 series driver
If the Epson has never been configured on the device:
You MUST confirm that Photoshop is displaying the profiles correctly:
- To Check: Open photoshop and create a new file
- Command + P to open print options
- Select printer
- Color Handling set to Photoshop manages colors
- Printer Profile should show ultra premium photo paper luster as one of the profiles
- You have finished adding the printer. You will need to add Epson 2 as well using the top set of instructions
