Jamf - How to Manually Enroll an iPhone into Jamf
Requirements:
- MacOs Desktop/Laptop
- Apple Configurator 2
- UoR appleid@redlands.edu credentials (Initial Configuration Only)
- These are located in Secret Server
- 2FA is currently setup for Kimberly Perna's cellphone
Configuration of Apple Configurator 2
- Download and Install Apple Configurator 2
- Download
- Once installed open the app and navigate to File->Preferences
- Click on Organizations
- Click on the + ButtonĀ
- Follow the prompts and enter the appleid@redlands.edu credentials
- After completing that click on Servers
- Click on the + button
- Enter "Jamf School" under Name
- Enter the following into Enrollment URL
- https://uredlands.jamfcloud.com/enroll/ac
- Click Save
- Create an Wifi Profile
- Click File -> New Profile
- Navigate to Certificates and add the Wifi certificate (See Bruce for a copy of this)
- Click on Wifi, then Configure, and enter what you see below. **Note** You will need to enter shared credentials to complete the process
- Click on Trust and link the certificate from the previous step
- Save the profile as UoR Wifi
- Create an Enrollment Blueprint
- Under the main application window click "Blueprints" and then "Edit Blueprints"
- Click "New" and name it Jamf Enrollment
- Click on Profiles and add the UoR Wifi profile
- Click Done
Enrolling a Device
- Plug in the iPhone to the computer
- Right Click on the device, then click Apply, "Jamf Enrollment"
- Follow onscreen prompts
- Login to school.apple.com
- Locate newly enrolled device via Serial Number
- Click on "Edit MDM Server"
- Select Jamf from drop down
