The RedlandsID Password Portal will allow a user who has forgotten their password or that has been locked out from too many bad attempts, to verify their identity using two verification methods and then allow them to choose a new password or unlock their existing password. This portal does not reset voicemail passwords, or any application specific passwords.  Users are required to register at least TWO verification methods from these choices during the registration process:

    • MS Authenticator App (available here: https://aka.ms/getMicrosoftAuthenticator)

    • Alternate email address (@redlands.edu email addresses are not valid for this)

    • Phone - can be either a land line or a mobile device

        ○ Alternate phone is a choice, but not considered an additional method. (i.e. you cannot register phone & alternate phone only; you will need additional methods).

    • Office Phone - this may already be registered for employees. Do not use this method unless you are registering an assigned desk phone.

    • Security Questions - 3 questions are required for registration, and 3 must be answered to reset a password

ITS strongly encourages everyone to the authenticator app as one of the verification methods.  This process is like 2Step Authentication, but the two processes are separate.

To register:

  1. visit https://aka.ms/ssprsetup, or when prompted while logging in.
  2. select your first chosen method
  3. complete the on-screen prompts and verify your method as needed
  4. select your second chosen method
  5. complete the on-screen prompts and verify your method as needed
  6. repeat for any additional methods you wish to register.
